Event (Limited to 150 Entries): 3 miles on shaded park roads
9:30AM-Paws from the Past (Limit 14):
200' run/walk for
dogs that have previously run the Hounds and Harriers 3 mile run, but can no
longer run 3 miles due to age or disability.
Where: South Mountain Reservation, South Orange, NJ
Fee: $30 Pre-entry postmarked by 9/10/13.
Post entry $35. Paws from the Past entry fee is optional, but
required for t-shirt. No race day
Registration. Checks payable to Hounds and Harriers Run.
Prizes: Will be awarded in the 3 mile run for male/female human categories, special prizes
for small and large dog winners, first shelter/rescue dog and first veteran dog(>=10
years old). All
entrants in the Paws from the Past receive a ribbon.
Limited Entry: Please remember entrants will be limited. Apply early to insure your acceptance.
The race will likely
close the first half of September.
Custom T-shirts and dog bandannas to all 150 human/canine teams.
Refreshments, water stops and mile markers provided.
T-Shirts/Sweat Shirts/Calendars: Extra t-shirts, sweat shirts, bandanas can be ordered in
any size (including children's sizes) before September 14 when the shirt order
is placed.
Bandanas $5. Short
sleeved tees $10, Long sleeved tees $15; sweat
shirts are $22. Payment must be made at time of order.

Rules
* One dog per person.
Exceptions may be considered on an individual basis.
* Dogs must be on leashes at all times (no longer than 6'). No flexi leashes
please.
* All
dogs must be
current on standard vaccinations and be licensed. You must be able to
produce proof of these on race day upon request.
*
Poop bags will be provided. You are responsible for picking up after
your dog if he decides to go in the staging area or the course. We
recommend you exercise your dog before the run to avoid dealing with
this
during the race.
* Puppies must be at least 6 months old to participate. We will not allow female
dogs in any stage of heat to attend.
* The race director and race veterinarian reserve the right to refuse entry or
remove a dog from the course if it might prove hazardous to others or whose
physical condition appears to be in jeopardy before or during the event.
* The race director reserves the right to change the race to a fun run if the
temperature is excessively warm.
* No Baby Joggers.
* To enter the Paws from the Past, the dog has to have participated in a previous
Hounds and Harriers Run and can no longer complete 3 miles.
Entry
fee is optional for Paws from the Past but required for a race t-shirt.
The course is the finishing stretch.
